The best beaches to relax in Puerto Rico

Ordered by the Relax profile · 20 beaches

Some days the plan is just a towel, shade and calm water without crowds. This ranking puts first the beaches where that is easiest: comfortable sand, little bustle and a sea you can float in, with access weighed in so the effort to get there still counts.

The quietest beaches tend to be on Vieques and Culebra and on the less built-up stretches of the west and south coasts. Quiet often means few services: many of these beaches have no lifeguard, toilets or food nearby, so bring water and take your rubbish with you.
