The must-see places in Puerto Rico

Ordered by the Must-see profile · 20 sights

Five centuries of history fit on an island of about 160 by 55 kilometres. Old San Juan's fortresses and streets, Ponce's museums and firehouse, the Taíno ceremonial centres and the lighthouses that guarded the coast are the essential stops for anyone who wants more than beaches.

This ranking orders the places of interest by significance first, then how striking they are and how easy to visit. It only includes public or non-profit places open to everyone, never businesses. Check each place's website for opening hours before you go.
